This piece was presented as a Zine at the 2023 Rice Medical Humanities Hackathon.
Both these students had extensive experiences inside hospitals and care facilities and one thing that stood out to both of them during their experiences was the sheer impact patients felt when they were given humanities-based care in addition to scientific medical care. Luu and Reganti wanted to reflect on these transformations in patient outcomes they have witnessed firsthand, and create a Zine to spread the message and prove that humanities belong in patient care.
